I have owned and carried the Blade-Tech religiously for a year or so. I have never had any problems with it and it has some nice features. First is retention. By adjusting the two screw heads on the face of the holster you can readily adjust how much tension retains your weapon. This means that retention straps are not needed but the weapon will not fall out. Also, the holster has a simple yet effective system for adjusting to different belt sizes. By adding or removing shims along the back of the holster you can readily adjust for the size of the belt you are using.

Before discussing the Blade-Tech let's face some facts about Kydex. YES, it will accelerate finish wear. I don't care what anyone else tells you, it will. With leather, the dirt particles can be forced partially into the leather, diminishing the wear. Kydex is plastic, any dirt in the holster will wear the finish. If your that worried, clean the holster regularly.
