I bought this magazine carrier when I began to compete and needed to carry an additional magazine. I had already purchased the Blade-Tech holster and was very happy with it and decided to pick up the matching magazine carrier. I really like this magazine carrier as it provides perfect access to magazines. The "pockets" are not as deep, approximately 2 1/2", and allow a better grip on the magazine. Tension holding the magazines can be adjusted easily, allowing the perfect amount of retention. I'm not sure if my carrier was defective but I did notice that the shims used to adjust for belt size do not work with this carrier. This isn't typically a problem as the length of belt run through the holster prevents much swaying. The only gripe I've ever had is that the back of the tension adjustment screw does not allow the center of the magazine carrier to ride over a belt loop and stabilize the carrier's position on the belt.
