| The first magazine carrier I purchased was the Galco QMC26 which is their clip-on single magazine carrier for single stack 45 magazines. I found this carrier on sale at a local Vegas gun shop and bought it. After all, I had been carrying my spare magazine in my back pocket (I know, I'm a bad boy). This carrier certainly worked for its intended task. As it typical with Galco products, it is well constructed of quality leather and has worn well. This certainly earns it a "satisfactory" rating but it was not without problems.
For starters, the magazine is designed to clip on to a variety of belt sizes and the clip will accomadate a belt up to 2 1/4". The problem is that if you wear a narrower belt, the magazine will shift backwards and forwards. Also, the magazine carrier is 3" deep, covering more of the magazine than I prefer. These aren't terrible traits but there are better solutions. |
