| Once you start purchasing and shooting cardboard targets, you'll want to extend their life as much as possible. The classic solution to this is to apply tape over the holes, allowing you to shoot many rounds before you need to replace a target. The problem is finding tape that works well. I purchased a roll of tape designed specifically for target repair from Arizona Shooters and found that it did not work well. The tape would not bind to the cardboard and would literally blow off from passing wind or passing rounds. I found the perfect target repair tape at my local Walmart. This tape is manufactured by Scotch and is called "Mailing Tape." It sticks to cardboard very well and is also very wide. I always tear a piece off and then halve it allowing me to cover two holes. This tape is more expensive but it works and if you halve each piece, it will take a long time to go through a roll
