TARGET STANDS

Unless you're shooting at an indoor range, you'll need some type of target stand to hold the target - I've tried using friends for this and quickly ran out of friends. When you're selecting a target stand, there is one important question you need to ask - What is the surface the stand will sit on? If the surface is soft - like dirt - then you have a lot of options since you can use stakes to secure the target. If you are shooting out West and everything is rock, you need a target stand that will stand independently and your choices are limited.

For Soft Surfaces:
Standard "H" Stands
Arizona Shooter's Folding "H" Stands

For Hard Surface:
OutWest Manufacturing's Port-A-Fold Target Stand

(NOTE: I drive a Jeep Wrangler and anything I buy must be able to fit in the back which really limits the size of some items. All my recommendations are based on the goal of keeping things small. There may be other options that are larger but I don't have any use for them)
