| When I saw these stands on Arizona Shooters' web site, I realized I had found the perfect target stand. Not only are they compact, they are cheap. When open, these stands work like a normal "H" stand. The great part is that they stow in to a space ~19x2" which means you can carry a bunch of them in a minimum of space.
I purchased the six pack deal which is six stands for $90. For those who don't do math, that's $15 a stand, cheaper than some of the standard "H" stands I've seen. Also, if you buy six you can create "cover" by using a piece of cardboard stapled near the ground and basically have enough supplies for an entire IDPA scenario.
The only possible drawback to the stands is that they are slightly less stable than a normal stand. This is easily solved by driving a spike through the holes in the front/back leg. Once this is done, the stand is very stable and the wind will not knock the target over. As a final, very minor point, the square tubing that is used is much bigger than the furring strip that is inserted. This allows the target to "slop" back and forth slightly when installed which is annoying but not terrible. This is a product that earns an "excellent" rating - especially if space is a premium. |
