If you've ever lived in the South West, you've probably discovered you won't drive anything into the ground. This means that any target stand you have will have to stand independently and be very stable to minimize problems with breezes. I had spend a lot of time trying to find a target stand solution for this area and stumbled upon OutWest Manufacturing at a Las Vegas gun show. As soon as I saw the target stand, I knew that it was the solution I had been looking for. As you can hopefully see from the animated GIF, the stand folds completely flat (30x18x2.5") for storage but expands to offer the target at a normal height. This target stand is very quick to set-up and very well made. The base is the heaviest portion of the target which means that it is very stable and will not blow over in the wind. The only drawback to this target stand is its cost. I believe I paid $75-80 when I purchased mine several years ago. The stand now sells for $100 and represents a substantial investment in my mind. I wouldn't recommend this stand if you can drive stakes into ground but if you can't this is an "excellent" product and well worth the money. Back to Target Stand Page Return to Main Gear Page
